The B-14 Woodsman is a Great Youth Rifle
As life rolls on, many of us become parents; parents who enjoy spending their free time hunting and fishing. Our kids emulate us. They like what we do until a certain age.
If your son or daughter is showing an interest in the outdoors, namely big game hunting, then eventually you’re going to have to get them a rifle of their own. If they’ve shown they know how to handle a .22 and even a single-shot 20 gauge in the dove field, then they can handle a light-weight, light-kicking centerfire rifle: the B-14 Woodsman.
Although there are many rifles on the market today, we focus on one thing: quality. The Woodsman and all of the B-14 series is driven by the desire to bring the quality that Bergara is known for in the custom rifle world to a production line for all hunters. You will find a level of craftsmanship that surpasses all of the other production hunting rifles on the market, something your youngster will likely see his grandchildren learn to shoot.
The B-14 Woodsman rifle features a walnut stock in a sleek American classic shape with a straight comb and no cheek piece, which helps lighten it up a bit. As with the entire B-14 Series, the Woodsman brings Bergara Barrel accuracy to a line of hunting rifles that is affordable to any big-game hunter.
The world-renowned Bergara barrel on this rifle is complemented by our own super-smooth B-14 Action, which is a two-lug system with a Sako-style extractor and a coned bolt nose and breech to ensure a smooth feeding and extraction of the cartridge. It’s also outfitted with a Bergara curved trigger, set at about three pounds, that we designed to guarantee a crisp, clean pull every time. It has been factory drilled and tapped to fit Remington 700 style rings and bases.
The (#3) Bergara 4140 CrMo steel barrel is finished in matte blue and is available in 22 inches on the short action, which weighs just over seven pounds and 24 inches on the long action, which weighs about seven and half pounds. Our stocks are bedded with integral pillars for stability and enhanced accuracy. The high grade European walnut stock is finished with multiple coats of hand rubbed oil making it a good looking youth rifle as well as a durable on.
The popular 6.5 Creedmoor round will make it incredibly light kicking and easy to handle. You want their first experience to be a good one and we intend to help you do just that. With the holidays quickly approaching, what better way to make your kid’s year than with a B-14 Woodsman sitting under the Christmas tree? It’s a purchase you can be proud of. The only downside being that you’ll likely want one for yourself!
