Bergara Rifles Named a Platinum Sponsor of Alabama Precision Rifle Challenge
Lawrenceville, Ga. (April 2017) – Bergara Rifles, a division of BPI Outdoors, proudly announces it has signed on as a platinum sponsor of the Alabama Precision Rifle Challenge to be held April 28-30, 2017, near Carbon Hill, Alabama.
“Bergara rifles are made by shooters for shooters. With that in mind, we thought it only natural that we sponsor the Alabama Precision Rifle Challenge and do what we can to give back to the shooting community,” said Ben Fleming, VP of Sales for Bergara Rifles.
The Alabama Precision Rifle Challenge is a two-day Precision Rifle Series (PRS) points event that features diverse stages that test all facets of a shooter’s skill set. Shooters engage targets from 100 to 1,200 yards in a natural terrain environment. The Rifle Challenge has a fast tempo and is a competitive match that challenges even elite shooters.
Bergara’s newest competition rifle is its B14 Match Precision Rifle (BMP), which is completely designed and built at its state-of-the-art facility in Bergara, Spain.
The B14 BMP’s main chassis is machined from solid 7075 T6 aluminum. The forward portion of the BMP Chassis incorporates flush cup mounts for QD attachments, as well as Magpul® M-LOK modular locking accessory mounting slots. The main body of the BMP Chassis is precisely machined to cut weight and perfectly fit the Bergara B14 action and world-renowned Bergara barrel.
The magazine well front is designed and contoured so that it can be used as a support brace when leaning against shooting supports. The main magazine body is precision machined and designed to accept AICS style magazines. It has a near vertical AR style grip that’s ambidextrous and comfortable.
The rear stock of the BMP Chassis is fully adjustable and every single adjustment can be made by hand and without the requirement of a tool. The rear stock is precisely machined to reduce weight, yet offer extreme functionality. The cheek riser is adjustable up and down and has multiple machined positions, allowing snap rings (included) to be inserted, preventing an inadvertent change of the set height position. Both the length of pull and the recoil pad are fully adjustable. The recoil pad can be adjusted vertically, as well as left and right canting. The rifle is compatible with AR style aftermarket stock options should the shooter decide they want something different. Bergara will also offer a side-folder adapter for the rear stock of the BMP to reduce its overall length during storage or transportation.
The B14 BMP Chassis Rifle comes in .308 Win and 6.5 Creedmoor, is equipped with the world famous Bergara barrel and is backed by a 100 percent accuracy guarantee. The Bergara barrel is produced using a proprietary vertically honed, button rifled barrel in a #5 contour and is threaded 5/8”x 24” to accept most compatible muzzle devices and suppressors. All B14 BMP Chassis Rifles are guaranteed to produce sub-1.0 MOA groups, or less, at 100 yards using factory match-grade ammunition.
